CIDG dismisses Villanueva’s claims

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the Philippine National Police considered PAGCOR officer Raul Villanueva’s declarations about a former PNP chief who was reportedly connected to Alice Guo to be baseless and only gossip.
Villanueva had talked with Police Major General Leo Francisco about the matter, however, he stated that there was no basis for the rumors. Francisco stated that on Tuesday, Villanueva will make an appearance regarding what’s happening.

The information is still being confirmed according to Villanueva, a retired general and former commander of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP). Reports have been made that a former PNP head was on Guo’s “monthly payroll” and supported Guo in exiting the country.
