Lovi Poe launches production company
To promote Filipino talent, actress Lovi Poe created her own film production business, C’est Lovi Productions. The film “Guilty Pleasure,” which was released on Regal Films’ 60th anniversary, will be collaborated on by the company.
Poe recognizes her career-long support and encouragement from Miss Roselle (Monteverde) and her Regal family.
Guilty Pleasure, written by Noreen Capili, who was contacted by Monteverde to come up with a film project for Poe, reunites Poe with director Connie Macatuno following their debut drama, “Malaya” (2020), prevailing her a Urian Best Actress nomination.
Untold tales of masculine verbal, physical, and sexual abuse as well as passion gave rise to the idea. Poe’s leading men are Jameson Blake and JM de Guzman, together with Dustin Yu, Sarah Edwards, and Angelica Lao.
Three aspirational lawyers negotiate love, treachery, and retaliation in the film, which centers on their intricate relationships and inner problems. After seeing the movie, Poe thinks that narrative is a potent instrument that may facilitate discussions on these subjects.
It was said to be “very fun” to shoot on the set, and the delicate subject matter was handled with tact and consideration.
